La Colonia will offer a world class hotel/leisure complex, 830 luxury golf villas, 180 bungalows and 350 apartments in an eco-friendly community, on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Each villa will have full legal title to its land, which is not normally possible for villa developments in many parts of the Caribbean. The central shopping areas, restaurants, spa in the 'Citadel' and the beach club and hotel complex are expected to be badged and operated under one of the global flags in a second phase

We want to create a community of 830 villas, 350 apartments and 180 bungalows, in different standard designs for construction in each phase, with a limited choice of color palettes, fencing/drive designs and low-cost/high quality furnishing packages and more. Clearly this significantly reduces construction costs, sourcing problems, costs of delays and construction variables/errors. We again know that this accelerates the sales and construction process and ensures that the beauty, coherence and environmentally balanced appeal of each phase. Less is more.

The Dominican Republic is blessed with world-class building materials and a wide range of beautiful sustainable native woods. With the obvious practical exceptions we will use these local materials, with the result that we can build very cost-effectively and rapidly, whilst also maximizing the economic benefits to local Dominican people and businesses. We know from experience that this ‘lack of the burden of choice’ reduces hassle for purchasers and increases the coherence and design values of the end product.
